Story About MIPAD Africa Development

OUR HISTORY

MIPAD was founded in 2020 by Mr. A. Mohamed Barrie II to respond to the need for sustainable development ventures in Liberia and Africa that combine both the business and social aspect of development practice. With more than twenty years of development experience in NGO management, Mr. Barrie observed that despite the numerous implementation of development programs in Liberia by NGOs, there is a need to come in with a different organizational model to accelerate and enhance community development efforts in the country and whole of Africa.

In this light, Mr. Barrie envisioned the formation of MIPAD, a social enterprise development corporation to promote innovation and high social impact programs for long-term sustainable development outcomes and achievement. This model encapsulates investment in business activities to fundraise and achieve desired social impact for development.

Story About MIPAD Africa Development

🌾 Agricultural Growth at the Core of the MIPAD Africa Development Strategy

Invest in Organic Farming | Youth Empowerment | Food Security

To begin with, about MIPAD plan in agriculture is not just about growing crops—it’s about growing people, economies, and nations. While most rural farmers in Liberia lack access to modern tools and markets, MIPAD is changing that. It supports over 150,000 smallholder farmers with innovative farming techniques, organic seed banks, and access to e-Agriculture technology.

In addition, the organization is developing a digital agriculture marketing app and offering funding to women-led agribusinesses. Consequently, 5,000 new jobs will be created for youth and women in both urban and rural regions. This level of integrated investment is rare, and for investors looking to fund agriculture in Africa, the MIPAD plan offers a strong foundation with visible returns.

Improving Healthcare Services Through Strategic Investment In Liberia And Africa

❤️ Improving Healthcare Services Through Strategic Investment

Maternal Health | Hospital Support | Medical Equipment Distribution

Although many regions in Africa face a shortage of healthcare workers and infrastructure, the MIPAD Africa Development plan responds with a bold and sustainable solution. By 2035, MIPAD plans to establish county-level nursing and midwife training centers, offer low-cost tele-health services, and provide essential equipment to over 2,000 clinics and hospitals.

Because health is a major pillar in development, and since Liberia’s maternal and child health indicators remain critical, this part of the plan will undoubtedly attract health-focused investors and philanthropists. Moreover, it offers private-public partnership opportunities and shares real impact data for transparency and trust.

🔥 Clean Cooking and Green Energy for Households in Africa

Renewable Energy | Climate-Smart Technology | Women Empowerment

When we talk about MIPAD Plan, we must also talk about climate solutions that empower people. For instance, traditional charcoal stoves in Liberia contribute to deforestation and health hazards. But MIPAD is already working to change that. By providing solar electric stoves to 500,000 households, they are creating a new wave of green jobs, women-led cooking businesses, and clean energy access.

Furthermore, they are forming distribution partnerships with international clean tech companies, making this a clear opportunity for green energy investors. Not only does this reduce household pollution, but it also accelerates Africa’s move to clean, affordable energy.

♻️ Waste to Wealth: MIPAD’s Plastic & E-Waste Recycling Innovation

Circular Economy | Eco-Friendly Investment | Africa Sustainability Projects

Because plastic and e-waste pollution are growing crises in Liberia and beyond, the MIPAD Africa Development Plan is building regional recycling centers and training 500+ local SMEs to lead the plastic and e-waste circular economy.

Rather than viewing waste as a problem, MIPAD sees it as a green investment opportunity. They plan to export processed e-waste in partnership with global recyclers while producing locally-sold eco-products like plastic tiles, school supplies, and reusable bottles. As a result, any investor focused on sustainability, circular economy, or climate mitigation will find a perfect entry point here.
